Nikki Williams

Youth Coordinator

Nikki has served as Youth Coordinator for 8 years now. She is the mother of two children and is currently the Practice Manager at Uptown Pediatrics. Also, she is a Choir Member, Lay Delegate for conference, Sunday School Superintendent, teaches Youth Sunday School and Youth Bible Study, serves on the PPR Committee. She is also active in the Methodist Church on the district level. She serves as Communications Chairperson for the La Grange District United Methodist Women.

Edith Allen

Administrative Board Chairperson

Edith is a lifelong resident of Troup County & Burks Chapel member. Edith graduated from Ethel W. Kight High School, Savannah State University, and received a Masters Degree from Columbus State. Edith is retired from Pathways Center of La Grange. She heads our Older Adult ministry, and is a musician for the choir. Edith is a true disciple for Christ and motivates others on her christian walk.

Kenneth Williams

Trustee Chair

Ken is a native of Pine Mountain,GA and was born in 1953. He is married and have 3 children. Ken has been a member of Burks Chapel since his childhood. He graduated from Troup high School in La Grange, GA in 1971 and attended Lane College in Jackson, TN from 1971-1976 and received a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He retired from the United States General Services Administration in April 2009 with 30 years of loyal service.

Carl Cotton

Treasure - Lay Leader

Carl has served as a faithful member and cornerstone of Burks Chapel UMC for many years in various capacities as administrative chairperson, lay leader, delegate to annual conference and whatever he could do for the Lord and the church. He is a graduate of Leadership UMC of the North GA Conference;he obtained his B.A. degree from Fort Valley State College(University); M.S.A. degree from Georgia College (and State University) at Milledgeville. Carl retired from State of Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Public Health as an Epidemiologist. His favorite Scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 “For surely I know the plans I Have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”

Willie Mae Calloway

Finance Chairperson

Willie Mae has been a dedicated warrior for Christ for many years. Her past work with the United Methodist Women and current work on the Finance committee is invaluable. She is the mother of 4, grandmother of 10, and the foster mother of many. She recently retired as a the Manager of the State of Ga. Unemployment Enforcement Division. She is a member of many community organizations, Eastern Star, and I.A.W.P.
